2010 ASA Northwest Late Model Tour – Race #2
South Sound Speedway – Tenino WA (3/8 - mile oval)
Date: Saturday – May 1, 2010
FRIDAY – April 30th (Practice)
South Sound Speedway has an open practice session on Friday, April 30 from 4pm-dark. Cost: $20 / person. Those teams attending practice will be able to set up and reserve pit stalls for Saturday’s ASA NWLMT event to help minimize Saturday cluster.
Note: ASA NWLMT practice rule - A team may use a track’s regularly scheduled practice day, but NO PRIVATE PRACTICE at a scheduled track within one week of an event.
Overnight Camping: RV spaces are available adjacent to the track.
SATURDAY – May 1st
Back Gate Opens at 12noon.
Pit Passes: $40 driver/ $40 crew (Fee collected for track, ASA NWLMT registration is separate) South Sound membership discount applies.
Reminder to those in the pits: NO open toe shoes, NO sleeveless shirts, NO shorts!
South Sound Speedway - allows 14yo minimum into pits, but must have a signed waiver by both parents. (call Nick for paperwork 360.858.1464)
Open to all LM cars meeting ASA NWLMT rules.
ASA NWLMT event registration/tech fees
Pre-registered: $60.00 with own AMB Transponder / $75.00 if rental transponder is needed
Non Pre-registered: $110.00 with own transponder / $125.00 if rental transponder is needed
** Note: Pre-registration is available on the ASA NWLMT website. All pre-registrations need to be received by Wednesday April 28th. (Pre-registration fees will be collected on race day, it is not necessary to send money in advance with online registration.)
**ALL cars must run transponders. Personal Transponders may also be purchased: Rechargeable unit - $325.00
ASA Membership/License fee:
Full Membership - $125.00 driver / $90.00 crew
Single-event Membership - $25.00 driver / ($25.00 crew – optional)
*Note: temporary memberships may only be purchased three (3) times during the season. We highly recommend purchasing licenses as ASA has great insurance coverage.
Hot Lap sessions for LMs begin at 1:30pm (tentative). 2-3 practice sessions will be posted. All cars must pass tech and scales prior to hot lapping. Qualifying for all classes begin at 5:00pm. Racing begins at 6:30pm.
ASA NWLMT format: Practice, Qualifying, Fast dash, Hot Lap Session (?), 125-lap main event.

TIRES – ASA NWLMT series-specific (stamped) Goodyear tires: #2772 left-side, #2902 right-side. Cost of tire: $128.00 Must be purchased from Losch Motorsports, LLC (contact 253.312.1080). The series reserves the right to implement a limit on the number of tires each team can purchase per event. Mounting will be available at track.
Only practice tires will be available in advance of race day. Requested race tire sizes may be called in prior to race day or picked out on race day. Feature event tires will not be issued until prior to the last scheduled practice session for scuffing, etc. Teams may inspect & check sizes of requested tires while the feature event tires are ‘impounded’, and exchanged if necessary.
TIRE RULE - Cars must start and finish the feature on the same tires they qualified. Only tires that are flat or going flat may be changed and are subject to inspection by series official. Cars that run in the last chance race may change tires prior to that race, but must return to the qualifying tires for the feature. No altering of tire or tire softening chemicals allowed.
