Evans Wins at Yakima |

Yakima, WA (September 1, 2007) – Garrett Evans won the ARCA West Q-Racing Late Model Challenge Series race at Yakima Speedway. Evans took the lead from point leader Gary Lewis early and cruised to his fourth win this season. Lewis finished second building his lead for the 2007 AW LMCS championship. Brent Harris made another podium visit with a strong third finish.
Evans and Lewis are tied with four wins each and the record is five. With one race remaining in the 2007 season it will be down to the last race to see if a new AW LMCS season high five wins will be set. |

(August 28, 2007) Current points leader Gary Lewis of Bothell, WA has had a dream season, with four wins already in 8 completed events of the 2007 ARCA West Q-Racing Late Model Challenge Series in addition to victories at the Montana 200, Idaho 200, and one NW Tour race. He definitely is on a roll, but not without stiff competition, and this weekend he will certainly have his hands full with many talented drivers also shooting for the $2,500.00 Gary Mears Trucking ‘Winner’s Check’ in the AW LMCS ‘Sea Galley 125’ at Yakima Speedway this Saturday night. |

Lewis Gives Himself a Birthday Gift |

Vernon, B.C., Canada (August 18, 2007): Gary Lewis of Bothell, WA made the trip over the border a successful one. The first ever trip to Sun Valley Speedway in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada, Lewis gained another won. The first year driver on the ARCA West Late Model Challenge Series won his fourth of the season in eight starts. The win on Lewis’ birthday was dramatic on the last two laps of the ‘Can Am 125’. Wes Rhodes of Olympia, WA got up to Lewis’ bumper. The two got and entangled in traffic and ended up side by side. In turn three of the last lap on the ‘D’ shaped 1/2-mile oval, Lewis was able to squeeze between two lap cars and beat Rhodes by :0.298 seconds. |

ARCA West LMCS Heads North of the Border |

(August 14, 2007) – Teams on both sides of the Canadian border are busy preparing their cars for the first ever appearance of the ARCA West Q-Racing Late Model Challenge Series ‘Can-Am 125’ event this Saturday at the beautiful ½-mile tri-oval of Sun Valley Speedway in Vernon, BC. Over $14,000 in cash and bonus awards is being offered to entice the most popular names of Northwestern US & Canadian late model drivers & teams. This highly-anticipated event is the initial visit of the AW LMCS to the tricky ½- mile tri-oval located in beautiful Eastern BC Canada, and one of the highlight events on the series’ 10-race 2007 touring schedule. Of special interest will be to see how well the US drivers and teams adapt to a track that many have not seen nor set foot on.
